Football: The Sacred Dance of Teamwork, Grit and Vision

Football sometimes is like a war played in 90-minute symphonies.
It’s where egos fade and roles matter.
I’ve always loved the game because it forces you to think like both a soldier and a general.

Here’s what football teaches:

  • No "star player" wins without a functioning team and a solid backline

  • Timing, discipline and hard work beats talent when there’s flow

  • Communication, trust, and cohesion aren’t optional

In business?

It’s the same!

It’s not the "best solo act" who wins.

It’s the best collaboration and synchronized team who creates "real success".
It’s about knowing your lane, playing your role, and stepping up when your moment comes.

You can’t chase legacy if you’re chasing likes.
And you can’t win the league with toxic locker rooms.

What team are you building around you? Are you playing for the scoreboard or for the season?

The Poker Table: Risk, Discipline, and Strategic Presence

Poker is more than "just a card game"..

It’s a mirror!

Mostly reflecting your thinking, your emotions, your type of decisions, your level of controlling yourself and your ability to remain relaxed and composed especially under high pressure.

That's why I love poker because it teaches me:

  • when to act and consider calculated risks

  • when to fold and live to fight another round

  • how to read people beyond their words

  • how to position myself to have the best chances against others

  • how to trust instincts and real results backed by data..
    not by opinions or followers

Business is no different.

You’re constantly making moves with incomplete information.

And those who win?
They don’t guess!

They read the room, the situation, trust the math and their ability to execute,
and they play always the "long game".

Poker reminds me that short-term wins mean nothing without a strategy and long-term sustainability.

πŸ’¬ "Fast success builds ego. Slow success builds character." by Ratan Tata

It’s not about "bluffing" your way through life and fake your identity.
It can work .. sometimes.. but in most of the cases fast success lead to unavoidable failure because with no foundation behind your actions it literally creates a springboard you cannot avoid to jump off from. But the opposite is clearly recommedable in life.

πŸ’¬ "Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, only more wisely this time." by Henry Ford

It’s about showing up with courage, think smart based on your "life strategy", feeling confident about your decisions through the collected life experiences and gained wisdom, and always act accordingly with discipline.
And the most important advice of all definitely is:

"Never Give Up!"

What risks are you not taking because you fear the unknown? Are you making your decisions based on fear or wisdom?

Golf: Precision, Patience, and Mental Mastery

Golf looks easy.. but it’s not!

It’s one of the most brutally honest sports in the world.

That's why I like it so much.

There’s no opponent to blame.. no one else to criticize.

Just me, the ball, and my thoughts.

It's always Me vs Me!

Golf teaches me:

  • how to recover after a bad swing

  • how to master the moment, not just the technique

  • how to focus and always execute at 100%

  • how one millimeter of misalignment shifts the entire outcome

It’s a game full of patience.. full of self-awareness and full of discipline.
It forces me to take full ownership for my results.. and full control of my power and my focus.
It forces me to be relentless with my personal growth and always act with intention.

And why like a business?

It demands to refine the smallest details because the difference between good and elite is often invisible to others.. especially to those without any related (life) experiences.

Success often comes with the right preparation!

And the quality of my execution often depends on the related consistency & discipline for the execution of my "high quality daily routine" together with my inherited purpose and passion.
It teaches me how to manage my time and energy more efficiently and how to act in spite of my mood.

You can’t fake mastery. You either earn it with a lot of effort and sweat invested to it or you don’t!

Are you rushing progress or respecting the process? Where are you avoiding precision and calling it productivity?

"The most important shot in golf is the next one."
by Ben Hogan

πŸ“– Bible Verse

“Be still and know that I am God.”
— Psalm 46:10

Wellness & Sauna: Focus and Recovery in Stillness

Most people think wellness is a luxury.

For me it’s a necessity!

Not because I always want to chill and only relax in my life
but because I understood that recovery is part of performance!

The sauna is my sanctuary.. my "holy place".. my place of discipline.. my place of freedom!

It strips away noise, invites clarity, and builds resilience.
I’ve learned to stay in the heat longer than my body or my mind wants to
and confront myself with cold exposure just with pure willpower..
mainly with the intention to strengthen my immune system and to focus on my overall health.

Because of all those highly positive and beneficial experiences I tried to understand each element of the "sauna rituals" which then gave me also the additional understanding to expand it further to my whole business day through efficient breaks (pomodoro technique) and to my whole private life through daily fitness and sport activities, appreciation of healthy food / clean air / drinkable water together with the execution of a "complete daily routine" - covering the mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights.

That’s the training ground I am talking about!

That’s where I learn to breathe correctly, pray correctly (for gratitude and for orientation), align with my will and my dreams, and refocus on my goals and what's currently important to me in life.

The parallels to business?

  • Learn to sit and execute in discomfort

  • Recharge intentionally to perform extraordinary

  • Let go of what no longer serves you

  • Focus on the fights you choose to win

  • Stay true to yourself and believe in god

You don’t build endurance and power by always pushing yourself harder.
You build it by acting and recovering smarter.

Because even the strongest machine breaks down after a while without proper maintenance.

What are you doing daily to recover, recalibrate, and restore? What would change if you treated your well-being like your financial income and/or revenue?

"Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live."
by Jim Rohn

πŸ“– Bible Verse

“Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.”
— 1 Corinthians 6:19

These are just some of my hobbies.. and to be honest - these are not just "hobbies" to me.
These are hidden classrooms. And I train in each of them because I’m not just chasing fun.
I’m chasing focus, fire and FLOW
!

Every game teaches me something about life.
Every environment teaches me something about the world.
Every struggle teaches me something about myself.
In the end I realized that..
Every sweat, every swing, every decision ..

It’s all about preparation and discipline.
It's all about frequency and energy.
It's all about intention and focus!

Because the way you do anything.. is the way you do everything!
AHO!
